I am setting up 4 or 5 10 gallon tanks and want to run c02 and add plants in the tanks. I purchased fluval stratum, eco complete, sand, and Walstad method of sand, dirt, and gravel/dirt. I am setting up planted neo tanks and want to run c02 and need somewhat cheap options for lights and c02 options. I am fine with injecting c02 from a can and just filling something up but would rather not purchase 2 c02 tanks.

Welding supplies carry large tanks. I am not sure about pricing, but you can ask. Never hurts to ask. Let us know. Just an option you may consider.

Lighting can be cheap, just span your 10g tanks with shop lights.

For CO2, not something I would cut too many corners unless I was only keeping labyrinth fish. But you can get splitters that screw onto your regulator.

For the love of god, don't use splitters and hoses and stuff designed for air.

I would honestly go with a CO2 regulator designed to support multiple manifolds, from CO2Art, UNS, GLA or Fzone (for example)

Agree with Dougall. Buy a regulator with multi stage manifolds and bubble counters

Plus I got my tank at a brewing supply company and they do exchanges so I will always know my tank isn’t going to expire.
