Cable Labels

Another option; If you have the time and wherewithal, you can do what one of our club members did….build a box with labeled switches and / or outlets. He mounted this in a side cabinet. This way, if he has a problem, he just hits a switch. Looks like he used one of those old school label makers that makes plastic labels.

The new label makers, the ones with the white tape and writes in black hold up great. Like the one in the photo, bottom left. Good for the outlets. Thanks.
 
Here is how I do it: Labeling your powercords with a label maker. Personally, I make "flags" out of them, printing a few spaces before the lettering, unpeel about the first 1" or so of the backing, put a drop of superglue on the back, and wrap it around the powercord your labeling. The glue on the labels isn't strong enough to keep the labels on in a wet environment for very long but with a drop of superglue it should last forever.
 
Ace, can you photograph your method? I think I know what you are talking about.
