Cabomba ban in Australia

yeah, its already illegal to import here in Washington, US. I tried to get some and it got shot down at my lfs.
 
The pet store where I work on weekends has a huge tank full of it, it's too bad it's not available everywhere but I gues it makes sense if it's dangerous to the natural waterways. I suppose this is one advantage to living somewhere that gets so cold for part of the year - even if we were to throw it into the river it wouldn't survive the year :)

Though I must admit that flushing/throwing foreign aquatic plants into waterways is a big no-no in my books anyways. What people should do is throw their plants out and let the sun roast em before throwing them in the trash.
