Calcium Carbonate?

I want to make the calcium rich snail food cubes and I am getting ready to place an order for a bunch of fertilzer for my tank and they are selling 1 lb bags of calcium carbonate. Is that the right kind of supplement for them? I think I remember Ms Jinkzd telling me she uses some type of reptile calcium powder that the only incredient was calcium carbonate. Can anyone confirm?

The only ingredient in Jurassi-cal calcium supplement is calcium carbonate.

Is calcium carbonate baking soda? Or is it something else? I know we used it in one of my labs with calcium chloride I think and phenol red to produce a hot yellow bubbley thingy

Yeah I remembered that today, though I remembered it as sodium bicarbonate
