Calcium Pills and Reviews

i mix 100% calcium carbonate to my snail jello with every batch. Is the CaCO3 from aquariumfertilizer in powder form or granulated? That's a ridiculously low [rice compared to a bottle of jurassical

Would you prefer liquid calcium (i just ordered a bottle of Kent's last night) or Tums?

White chalk is calcium carbonate and talc. Tums, and other antacids will sometimes contain magnesium to help digestibility. As long as you are not using a vitamin enhanced mixture it should be good for the inverts. I also use plain cuttlebone, fruit flavored cuttlebone and Tums, or vacation feeders.

Isn't plaster a carcinogenic?

How many tums do you put in? How often? I have a five gallon with only a few snails (since they keep dying) but many rcs.

I use Calcium pills for humans from Wal-mart crushed up in my snail jello. No bad effects yet and I've been doing it for a year now.

what about just adding Calcium Carbonate CaCO3 straight to the water.

or mixing it up with foods. one thing i didnt see is any warnings when they should be added and what side effects this might cause to your fish by making the ph flux so much.

Can Calcium Carbonate CaCO3 be put directly in the water if I don't want to mix it with food?

Am I the only person that has snails that won't touch Tums? I have the berry flavored ones. My shrimp aren't enthusiastic about them either.
