...but I enjoy the drama that is AC these days. It's like a soap opera that I just HAVE to keep tuning into to find out what the characters are up to. We have our "villains" and our "heroes". That's why I keep coming back to AC, it's just more fun than the other, more civil, forums.

While I can't say I particularly enjoyed kyle12/magafish, or the heated Controversies of the Day in Cichlids, I just love having my initial thoughts on someone proven time and again

I have to say that I'm going to miss checking in with my fishy friends when school starts back up, and when I will be busy teaching a statistics course (teaching is like animal care, except I'm taking care of students!). But I will have to login at least once a day to get my "fix" :D

Please discuss your thoughts on the unfolding human drama that makes this site "different"...

It’s too bad we get so many trolls here because it makes it difficult to spot those that truly need help but may have just been misinformed. I fear that every time we see a questionable post now our first thought is going to be ‘Oh-no! The guy with the pergnent fish!’ ;) (that was how he spelled pregnant right?)

But besides that I have to admit these people are amusing, if a bit sad and immature…

I'm very much a lurker, but I'm on here a lot during the day and reading the dramatic posts too... something about them makes me morbidly curious. When I see a thread that was locked, I have to read it and find out why. Maybe it's summertime boredom?

Off-topic, but good luck teaching your statistics course, and may all of your students be better at math than I am. :)

I know! It's like a horrible accident that you don't really want to see... yet you can't look away.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna need it!

Well I personally have had fun. I've gotten so tired of bitting my toung at the iddiots who post here that it's been nice yelling at some of them. I admit Ive gone a bit overboard on some of them, and in some cases I even gave extreme oppinions that were way beyond my personal beliefs. Sometimes just to give another perspective on things. I generally dont take anything on here personally so its not like im sitting here getting my panties in a bunch.

So plah, I can take an honnest answer. Am I a hero or a villian in your soap?

yeah, this site is awesome. i'd never ask for aquarium advice anywhere else. boy, I guess i'm an orginator of a lot of drama here (through no intention of my own.), and sometimes I REEEAAALLLY wish I wasn't. (P.S. am I a hero or a villan, plah? just curious. ;) )

same here. I hate arguing.

heroes or villains?

sumthinfishy and fishcatch22, you're both heroes in my book :) because you guys always stand up for the fishies. the villains are the ones who don't give a flying f**k about the wellbeing of their fish and are intent on doing things the wrong way, even though they've been told by a lot of folks with good intentions that what they're doing is bad for the fish.

so yes, you're both good guys, not bad guys.
