Camallanus worm infestation

Levamisole works like a charm. I had it in my tank once, and it's never returned. And considering how little it takes, it's cheaper than any fish medication you will ever find.

It's true that it was banned for a few years, because people were using it as an additive for cocaine and methamphetamine, but it has since been made legal again. However, it can be hard to find, and many people still believe it to be banned. I purchased mine online from a site called "Livestock Concepts", but I did a quick search and do not see any in their inventory right now. It's the exact same stuff that Kaosu posted.

Here is a link to the information I used to come up with the dosing for my tanks. There is a lot of other valuable information about Levamisole as well:

I have heard people say that other things have worked for them as well, but I don't know that they were reporting long term results. From what I read when researching what to do about my outbreak, it sounded like other products only provide a temporary band aid for the problem.

I've used fenbendazole with great results in the past. The important thing is that you retreat after two weeks(?). When worms fall out into gravel, they don't always disappear. Good luck! Unfortunately, if your fish have had this for awhile and get impacted, they won't survive. Hope you have time.
