try to keep the pH around 7..levamisole Hcl loses part of it's effectiveness in acidic water..my understanding is it loses it at around 6.6 pH.
it is a very effective treatment for camillanus and capillaria worms.
it will make the fish uncomfortable..many will hide or become lethargic.
the treatment runs 24-48 hrs..then followed by at least 25% water change and acitvated carbon.
I do a larger water change usually 40%.
keep an eye on the bloating..usually it is a sign that the worms are in the digestive tract..levamisole will kill the worms..I lost one of my angels as it did not successfully expell the worms and got an infection..by the time it did expell the worms..there was a bacterial infection.
but 1 out of 10 ..it was my only loss.
good luck..
