Came home to a mess

After doing a PWC today I decided I was going to go out to eat. When I came home I found one of my juvenile angels swimming around in circles upside down. Upon closer inspection, I realized that 80% of his fins were completely missing and it was clear that the culprits were my school of Red Eye Tetras, as they continued to harass the fish even as I was standing there.

Although he is having trouble swimming I am going to do everything I can to keep him alive.

I have temporarily moved my 7 tetras to my 5 gallon tank and moved my platies into the 40 gallon tank with the angels. (I know the 5g is overstocked , its temporary).

My questions are:

1) Approximately how long would it take for the damaged fins of the Angel to grow back? It's the rear fin and the two long fins in the front.

2) Are there any products that I can purchase to help this process go along?

Thanks for all of your help!

Update:

A few minutes after I posted the thread I lost the injured angel :(.

Tomorrow I will be returning the tetras to my LFS. I am going to pick up another juvenile angel to add to the tank.

That's too bad. I'm sorry:(

Melafix is an all-natural medication derived from the leaves of "melaleuca," the scientific name for the tea tree. The healing properties of tea tree extract has been known for centuries. University studies and extensive laboratory tests showed that melafix is an effective bacterial remedy for freshwater and marine fish. Melafix also caused rapid repair of damaged fish tissue and fins. New growth was seen in as little as four days of treatment.
