I have 3 ten gallon tanks with one Mystery snail in each tank. My gold snails eat/clean like crazy and have grown quickly. My purple Mystery snail is smaller and doesn't do as much work. I would like to add a gold snail to that tank but don't want babies. Do all colors of Mystery snails breed with each other and is there any way to discourage reproduction? Is there some way to tell the sexes apart?
THANKS!!!

all the colors can interbreed. the eggs are laid in a big bunch above the waterline and are easily to see (about the size of your thumb) and easy to remove and either sell or destroy.

What is the gestation period once the eggs are laid? I wouldn't want to miss the window to remove them and end up with babies...

10days-about 3 weeks....just check under your lights and hood during your weekly maintenance and you should be able to find them readily.
