Can angelfish be with smaller fish and cherry shrmp?

I have a fairly large angelfish in my 37 gallon, I used to have him in a 30 gallon.

Is it possible to have cherry shrimp and other small fish in the tank with him?

He's used to neons, he never tired to eat them or anything.

I don't know much about the temperament of angel fish, but if there were enough hiding places then I think they would be okay.

I would think shrimp would be eaten, there are lots of nano fish that can go in with them (depending upon the angel).

My largest angel grew around small fish and hasnt eaten my neon tetras[which I had for over a year] or my guppies. He doesnt touch my swordtail fry I placed into the tank from the breeder net.

I would be willing to bet the shrimp would get eaten.

I also think he shrimp will be eaten. But only way to know for sure is to try it.

It is very likely that in time the angel will end up snacking on the shrimp. A good countermeasure is to keep the angel well fed so it doesn't feel the need to snack.

I keep my fish very well fed, I feed them flakes and brine shrimp. He mostly stays a the surface, but my smaller angel may try to eat the shrimp.

anything guppy sized or neon tetra sized if food

as for crustaceans they will pick apart anything from shrimp to crawdads (though the latter with great risk)

I have guppies and neons in my tank. He doesnt touch them. He grew up around my neons.
