Didn't get too many responses in the freshwater forum, but does anyone know what this stuff is?
plant.jpg

My frog loves laying in it and it's the first time i've put live plants in a tank, but it is starting to yellow a bit after 3 days. It's not rooted and my tank is 5 gallons with a 10 watt fluorescent running for 9.5 hrs. Do i need to add anything like fertilizers or cO2 to such a small tank and will it harm my ADF?

that is cambomba. hardy plant.

it is turning yellow because of a deficiency in iron. most plants require to be in the substrate, not this one. just make sure you add iron drops to the water.

Actually in my opinion it looks more like frill plant rather than cabomba. If thats the case then its a bit more fragile than the cabomba and probably needs a bit more lighting also. They are a high light plant...3-4wpg.

top right portion looks like frill, but the bottom left just outside the red circle looks like a cabomba leaf.

im more inclined to say frill. does the plant grow pairs of fan leafs from a single stem or is it a radius of soft xmas tree like needles?
