its a tanganikan and its 1 half inches long

Looks like L. Brichardi to me.

could be Neolamprologus Brichardi or Neo. pulcher. Can tell you if the pic is closer and clearer maybe.

there are other variants of this cichlids so it's hard to be exact

6 inches including tail. Those are schooling fish. You probably won't see there true behavior unless there are with more of their species, acutually they are quite boring solitaire. But they will elminate all other tankmates quickly if there are more than one.
