Can anyone identify this fish?

I've had him for about 4 months. Bought at Petco and listed as "Borneo Sucker". Can't find any info on him. Would like to check out a caresheet. Most of time he hangs out on the glass in one of the far corners behind a powerhead durning the day and has been seen on the front glass at night. He's one of those fish that you forget you have and then once in awhile he comes out and your surprised to see him. However, this is the first time I have ever seen him lay on the gravel. I hope the little critter is ok. From the pics. you can tell he kind of looks like a ray or scat. He's about 2 inches long and wasn't listed to grow any more than that. When he's on the front glass, you can see that his whole body is a "sucker" with a mouth almost in the middle. And he is the hardest fish to move....it is nearly impossible to get him off the glass. He's also the fastest fish in the tank when he decides to go from one side panel to the other. Any help on the Id would be appreciated by me and him. Thanks.

I'm having a hard time making it out from your photos, but does it look like this?

If so, it's probably a hillstream loach.

Thanks guys for the input. I was only able to find one place that called them Hillstream Loaches on my own. With your help, I've gotten a lot more info. Loaches.com has quite a bit. Sorry about the pic. It's the best I could do, I was in a hurry because it's the first time I've ever seen him out during the day and I wanted to get a shot before he split for cover.

Yea it's a hillstream loach for sure. I have 2 of them and they are fun to watch when they try and fight. Since they have nothing to use to attack they just bump each other. It's pretty funny

I just have the one. I really like him. However, you know by watching your fish on a regular basis what normal behavior should be. When it changes, you know something is up. Well, I never see mine unless I look around the back of the tank for him. He's usually behind something in a corner. Sometimes at night, I can see him on the front glass, but thats only when the lights are off in the tank and the room - so needless to say, I can't really see anything. Anyway, today, he's been all over the place along the back wall, on the gravel, etc. He appears normal...scooting along like he usually does. As far as what I've changed, well, I saw a white spot on one of my Angels pectoral fins. Not sure it's ich. It's hard to see unless the light hits it right. Nobody else has anything. My LFS said that Ciclids can show calcerous deposits on the pec. fins during growth spurts. I don't know what it is, but it's something, so I started to add salt a couple of days ago. I'm up to .8 tsp/gal. right now and I'm going to run up to 2 tsp./gal for a week or so just to make sure. If it's ich that'll kill it before it gets going, if it's fungus, I've had pretty good luck with salt for that also. I know the loaches don't care for salt, so maybe that's why he's changed his behavior a bit. Hope he'll be ok.
