Hey there
at the moment i have 17 tanks setup ranging in sizes and water conditions

1 tank has black neon tetras
1 tank has kribninsis
1 tank has xray tetras
1 tank has neon tetras
1 tanks has angels
1 tanks has emporer tetras
1 tank has convicts
etc
anyway i have been trying for 18mths to get at least one of these to breed...
now before u ask they are male and female the tetras are massive with eggs and the males are the right size

also i have tried seperation and conditioning keeping them together and conditioning
i have read so many websites about these fish that its far from funny...
last week i sold a pair of black neons and the new owner is now proud owner of babies.
noone is willing to give the right advice cause i guess they dont wanna let on, but my female columbian tetra died cause she was so full of eggs she looked like she was going to pop and she just swam upside down for a few days and died was told it cause she was so full of eggs.
we are only breeding for fun not to sell so would be nice to get a spawn off each lot but cant its been 18mths of trialing now with no results and im out of ideas and no website is giving me any information i havent tried apart from moving to the amizon and sectioning off some and throwing fish in there
so can anyone please give me step by step on how to breed something in my list...i am at the point now were im ready to give up as i spend every day trying new things over and over ....its 2am here and i just finished 4hrs in the fish room adjusting pairs etc to see if they go this time...
so help and any help or should i cut my loses and just enjoy watching them swim and die off?

The only fish on your list I personally have experience with are angels. Are you sure you have a male/female pair? If you are sure...how do you know? What temp is the tank? What are you feeding them? How old are they, or how big are they?

Generally speaking you'll never raise Tetra fry if you leave the parents in the tank. They'll eat the eggs and fry with no regard. Easiest way is to keep the sexes separate, introduce the chosen pair into a heavily planted tank and remove them the next day. Then keep an eye out for babies. I did say generally, because I have successfully raised Columbian Tetras in a community tank. As far as the Cichlids, it's most likely that they're not mature yet. All of the species you mentioned breed like flies.

Hey there they are male and female cause they laid eggs before we got them...they are roughly just over a year old now...the tank is at 24 degress and we feed them different food from live brine shrimp to flakes etc and they are the size of the palm of my hand...

hahaha not for us..our cichilds were brought as a breeding pair one has a red stomach but they just wont breed...what is the secret to getting tetras to spwan and we have a mesh on the bottom of the tank to avoid egg eating

What is the pH of your water?

How often do you do water changes? For many fish, water changes help to stimulate spawning.

Lol i have the opposite trouble as you.. Can anyone help keep my fish from breeding! Out of your listed fishes, I've only had experience breeding kribensis and convicts and that didn't take much work at all. From my experience, as far as breeding kribensis goes, you have to let them choose their mate otherwise they'll eventually kill each other. Start off with at least 6 Kribensis and let them pair off, otherwise simply putting a male and a female together won't do anything, even when the female is ready to spawn. She may just fight him. As for convicts they're practically almost the same way. A lot, but not all cichlids are similar. You have to let them choose their mate because simply putting a male and female together won't work. Outside of that, check for water quality and also stress level. Maybe try imitating their natural environment more, if any of your fish are wild caught. Sometimes leaving them alone and letting them just swim around and not expecting them to produce eggs/fry will work.

we have brought all pairs that have bred before but im betting we are missing something...
just seen that my daughter has poured milk into the emporer tetra tank and 5 are dead so im just gonna let them die off so its one less to worry about...
we also have danios that wont breed too...this breeding thing is not for everyone i guess...i am 100% sure that there is something u have to do to get them to shag and produce eggs cause i have spent 18mths trying this even though swordtails are suppose to be easy i have 5 tanks with 2 pairs in each and never had an offspring yet...
so what is this magic secret? and i can tell u now it isnt milk :)
