Hi guys, can C. pleuros and oscars coexist together in the same tank? can it be done? I know both species grow in a comparable size and I think pleuros are one of the more safer options of channa species than C. micropeltes but would I try or chance it and recommend it to keep with oscars in the future? Thanks.

No guarantees of success. Large, predatory species (for example, Oscars and Channas) behave like big fish even when they’re young, so a single wrong move by either can be fatal for the other. I wouldn’t attempt this in anything smaller than a 100–150 gallon tank, even with juvenile specimens.
