Can feather dusters carry ick?

we have plenty of light, add trace minerals and micronutrients for it. What exactly do you have for lighting and what exactly are you adding as far as trace minerals and micronutrients

okay, 240 watts Coralife Powerpack on a 55 gallon tank... approx 50 lbs live rock...two clownfish, 7 feather dusters, one leather coral (not looking that happy either....) two bubble tips that are completely bleached and unhealthy ....

for invert food we give every week Kent Marine : Coral-vite, Liquid Calcium, Micro-Vert, and Iodine

water change has been done,,,we don't have another tank to hospitalize so the tang is still in the tank..
he made it through the night...possibly because I did some research and did a 4 minute Freshwater dip for him at about 82 degrees and raised the tank temp a bit to about 80.

If the Powerpack is a PC then you dont have enough lighting for the anemones and that could very well be why the carpet died and the BTA's are bleached, if you are doine regular WC's then you dont need to dose any thing that you are and if you arent testing for what you are dosing then you really shouldnt be dosing it and Iodine can be lethal and high levels so if you arent testing for it stop dosing it because your Coral-Vite has Iodine in it already. Sorry about the way I worded some of this, I am not trying to sound nasty about it

I agree, the lights aren't strong enough, make sure you are testing before dosing to be sure you even need to dose what could be lethal and I'd not mix anemones in a 55g. I'd also not put a carpet in one due to the size they get.

4 minutes isn't nearly long enough of a FW dip. 20-30 minutes is usualluy recommended or shorter, if they start looking stressed.
