Can Glosso be Grown in Lower Light (i.e. ~2wpg)?

I'm just curious, because I keep reading different things about people's experiences with glosso. Some say they can get it to grow in just about any condition as long as CO2 is provided and it has a fine substrate to grow in, while others say they can't get it to grow in anything but high light.

I know when i tried to grow it in about 2.8wpg it didn't want to do anything but grow straight up. But at the time I didn't have a pressurized CO2 system (and I was pretty bad about keeping the DIY system fresh), so that may have had something to do with it.

It may grow up more than out, but if you give it a section of light with out any blockage, i dont se and issue with it running out and staying low...anothr alternative would be marsilea quadrifolia.

do you currently have the glosso ?

I have some on the way and figured I'd play around with it.

Tom Barr has advice on how to grow it and keep it low without highlight. You might want to PM him.

i just posted asking how to do just that over at BarrReport.com :thm:
