I have 6 guppy fry, and I was wondering if they are okay in their heated, filtered, cycled, and planted 3.5 gallon tank.

I've seen guppies live in vase-sized containers. Keep up on water changes and they'll be fine until moved.

I do daily 25% water changes. They will be moved to a 22 gallon when they are older.

Sounds good. IMO, you're better off with fewer, but much larger WCs, but any WC is better than nothing.

Okay, so like 50% WCs weekly?

Yes. I too like bigger WC. IMO, anything smaller them 30% is useless, unless done daily, but even then......

I've seen them breed in smaller tanks.

50% or more. Never do less than 50% but 60-90% is better. A few people might disagree but 90% of avid fishkeepers do at least 50% weekly or even twice a week. I personally do 60-90% every week on all my tanks

I like to do more frequent WCs on fry tanks, maybe 2 or 3 x 50%... or more often & larger. But 25% daily is good too...it does get old, though not so much on such a small tank, no big deal!

I like daily water changes on fry tanks myself. It keeps the chemistry more consistent than a big change which will drastically alter the nitrate levels and babies are more sensitive to those swings than adults. All my malawi fry are on a drip system so they get daily automatic changes. My tanganyikan fry get daily 25% manual changes. I get really good survival and growth rates this way and my nitrates never get above 5 ppm.

I don't personally think that the change in nitrate levels is the big issue, But I do agree with Tiff if there's something in your water that will change the water parameters (say for existence you had crushed coral for example)

I would say that daily 25% water changes would be far better than a single weekly change of %75, for example.

The one big issue with smaller water changes, is that it will prevent you from doing a good gravel vacuum in the standard way.
