Can I get a 6 line wrasse?

i didn't know 6 like wrasse gets nasty and big. i never seen any bigger than 3 inches. no one told me when i was buying one.

Just 'cause he's an absolute show off here's my sixline, Wilfred. He's considered full grown at 2 1/2 inches (they can get a big bigger), is an absolute guts when it comes to food (carnivore but will eat anything) and when he's grumpy the white lines on his eyes turn red (no joke) :).

My experience; very active swimmer like Grins said, hardy, will eat any small crustaceans in the tank, can become very tame even eat from your hand, gets on well with my Bicolor Blenny and is perfectly reef safe.

i don't like mine. i got him to help me with pyramid snails but all he does is stuffs his belly with everything but what he should stuff his belly with. useless little fish with no looks but sneaky eyes. just hipotty-hupps around the tank and eats everything else. he needs to get a job removing bad snails

I didn't know they got aggressive. I've only had mine for a little over a month and he seems nice so far. He is only with a clarkii clown. Eats small inverts though? So what about snails and hermits? I do like him, but I don't want him getting territorial when I add other fish later on. And does anyone know if they get along with other wrasses?

Mine doesn't bother small snails or hermits, its mainly shrimp you have to worry about. The longer they're in the tank (without other fish) the more agro they get, 1 month isn't too bad but much longer and they might not tolerate any new introductions. Also the size of the sixline can be a factor, if its smaller than the other fish it might not bother them at all, and the larger the tank the better.

Not sure about compatibility with other wrasses. As with any fish not all fish of the same species have the same personality, but generally sixlines get territorial.
