Can I keep Angelfish and Blue Emperor Tetras Together?

Hello?

:feedback:

Well, the smaller variety sounds to be the same size as a neon which is normally not advised to keep with angels.

Well, I think blues fall under Kerri, so would they still be okay?

IMO--Yes, they will be fine. Try and get the largest Kerri and smaller angels. That is how I started with my Cardinals and Neons. My Angles are now about 4" ("Lips" to base of tail) and they do not bother and of the tetras in my tank. I have even had my Phantoms breed and one of the babiies survived!!! He is about 2/3 of and linch now.

He already has the angels.

Since both species of fish are small right now and they will grow up together, won't the angels consider the tetras family and not eat them?

Gonna say maybe yes and maybe no. It could go either way really and depends on the angels. Its a good possibility that things will work out for you but there is always that chance that cichlids will be cichlids.

Actually, the angels are 2-3 inches (not sure), but I've had angels before, and these are the friendliest ones I've ever had, so maybe they will be okay. Also, when I get them, I will get the largest ones. Thanks for all the help though!
