can i reduce my waterchanging intervals?

because your tank is aproximately 15 gallons and 3 spot gouramis get about 6 inches long which is way too big for that tank.

Weekly, with that load.

Flagfish, I had a frontoza in a 10 gallon tank. It could be said because it can get over a foot it was bad, however, the fish was less than one inch, and only intended to be there a month or so. Assuming you will get a larger tank for them, it is not a problem if they are still small. Given 2 6" fish in your tank i would probably yell and scream. However if they are still young/small (and you really are getting them a bigger tank SOON) i would tell you to base your WCs on nitrates tests. If you can go 2 weeks with nitrate levels below 20 ppm, I say go for it.

i have a 50g coming soon, i think?

Please take this in the kind spirit intended. If you are planning on a MUCH larger tank than you currently have, and you currently want to do LESS work on a small tank, you might want to reconsider the larger tank. Sure larger tanks are more stable, but they are more WORK. They are more time too. If you can't commit 15 minutes a week to a small tank, what are you going to do with a big tank that has an unexpected need for 2x daily 30 minute maintaince? Don't get in over your head and end up with your relaxing hobby becoming a dreaded chore.
