Can I split one big crypt into a few small ones?

I have a couple Cryptocorene wendtii greens that have grown pretty large, and I am moving them into a larger tank. I would like to divide each one up into two or three smaller ones. Is this possible?

I know they'll probably melt a bit from me messing with them, but I can deal with that. Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can split them. As long as each peice has roots it should be fine.
