Can I use LS???

I am tearing down one of my SW reefs and turning it into an African (Malawi) cichlid tank. Mostly just some LR and LS (Live-Sand) left.
My LFS said that I can keep the LS but just wash it well and you can use if for FW. Sounds reasonable. Any opinions on this??

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I'd mix in some bleach just to be sure.

i would make sure its dead sand..... does it buffer or is it just reg sand?

It is Argonite sand. Would like it to buffer African tank. It is still in SW tank now.

I don't see any issues on it. I think there was a recent thread on this.
