They stay small, barely over 1" max full grown. You can tell 'dwarfs' from young platy by the proportionally smaller eyes, versus juvenile regular platy have near full adult sized eyes even at 1" long. Petsmart always has them in an orange varitus, haven't seen them in other colors. They are darn cute little guys. Make for a few good betta-mates in a 5 gallon.
