Ok well I have a 55 gal as of right now with a penguin bio 350. Now this week I am getting a 90 gallon and getting rid of the 55. What I'm wondering is would it be better to keep the 350 and get another smaller bio wheel. Or just get rid of the bio wheel filter and get a canister filter. I have never had a problem with the penguin but which one is better? I have heard the canisters can be a pain in the ***. Let me know what everyone thinks.

A 90gl FW tank I would add another 350
If it is a salt water tank then I would go with a canister that has a flow rate someplace around 500gph

Add a decent sized canister filter.

Agree with the others, keep the HOB and add a canister.

HOB's are much more of a PITA for me, the initial setup of a can is the hardest part.

Which would you rather do clean a big canister once every few months or clean a HOB every other week?
Not to mention my Eheims are SILENT and less obtrusive than my bio-wheel ever was.
