Can the upstairs of my house hold 2500lbs?

I have read that article before and the following is based on what I read.

The main thing you need to take into account is not just if the floor holds at first but also whether the floor will support the tank LONG TERM. because you can have a bunch of people jump up and down in a room and it won't collapse but a tank is different, a tank is not just there for a few minutes/hours/days, the tank will be constantly putting pressure on the floor causing stress to the floor over time until it possibly gives way.

Different homes can support different weights so just because your grandparents house can support the water bed does not mean your house can.

Also (according to the article) older homes were made out of harder woods so therefore they are stronger and can support more weight.
