can this hold my 20 gallon full of water?

if not i can put my 10 on this and my 20 on my desk(its had 2 10 gals on it before).

A 20 gallon tank will weight about 200 lbs with water, equipment, and decor inside. I'd say it should be alright, but try sitting on it if your near that weight or have someone else test it

Sitting on something doesn't mean it can hold that amount of weight long term, just that it is capable of holding that weight for a short period of time. Too answer your question I would worry about the topper giving way before I would the actual stand.

i was gonna do that but then id have to move the tank and i really really like that scape. i did stand on it and it seemed sturdy, but i only weigh 100lbs

Is the stand all one piece? It looks as though it is a night stand that has a piece sitting on top of it.

no its all together. the top thing doesnt come off. its made that way.

Is it a solid piece of wood or is it hollow?

If it was solid I was so go ahead it will be fine BUT I would be leery since it is a drawer underneath. I have a 20 long sitting on a similar night standish thing but it has a solid piece of wood top then the drawer.
