i have a half moon mal and a idk her type but shes got real pretty points at tha end of her fins like 5 or 6 of them on tail fin and stomach fin do they have 2 b tha sme time or does it matter?

It doesn't matter but I would do some very serious research on breeding bettas before you try it. It's a dangerous endeavor for both parents. And then if you are successful and the fry survive, there's the housing of the babies as they get older and rehoming them.

If they're both Betta splendens (and unless you paid serious money for them they will be) they will interbreed freely.

i have resherched a heck of alot but i have many questions like how tomake male make buble nest is it tha diff types of food tha sets him off or what? and also what makes femal make eggs? ive heard diff foods sometimes water changes will do it 4 them what works? or do i just need to try all?

There are good guides online, if you really want to try this. Just so you know though, even in the hands of competent breeders, your parent fish may kill each other, or at least die from stress.

karlth meant that the different types of bettas can breed, because they are the same species

k thank u very much again and i understand the risk and also know that some bettas can have up 2 800 fry and are aware how 2 take care of them but will fully never know until i try it and get some experience under my belt thanks again manyyyyyyyyyyy times!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cool and please look at this web site called www.bettatalk.com this woman is very smart and im taking what she says (for tha most part) to nheart please please please read this u will know just bout all u need from this site wow its wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the different fin types are the same species, Betta splendens, so they can all interbreed. Wild type bettas can't, though (excluding splendens ;))
