I am strongly considering adding DIY CO2 to my just planted 55. I was going to use a yeast sugar mixture that was referred to me by another AC member. This is all mixed together in a 2L bottle. My question is should I have more than one CO2 bottle going in the tank at once or is the one bottle (reactor?) enough? I don't want to OD my fish on CO2 which I guess is bad.

There are several articles and threads throughout AC about DIY CO2. I think they usually suggest 2 bottles for a 55. Yes you can use too much CO2 and kill your fish, but not likely from yeast/sugar. Make sure you read some first before setting this up so you understand what's going on :)

I made DIY work with 2 bottles quite well on a 75g tank, you should use 2 bottles on the 55 and it will likely do you just fine. :)
