I'm trying to find out what sort of pleco I have, so I can figure out how to feed the guy/guyess better. I have been through the pics on planet catfish and on plecofanatics, but didn't find any the same.

It's a bit like L024/L025, but it doesn't have any red accents on its fins.

It's a bit like L155 and L185, but they look spiky or furry round the front of the fins and head.

Its also a bit like L064 and L186, these are dark and have the kind of spiny body.

Maybe it's none of these?

Hard to say for sure. The fish would probably sell as a "common pleco," which means it could be one of probably a couple dozen species. It doesn't really look like Hypostomus punctatus (the "true" common pleco bred in captivity), but being brownish and fairly plain makes exact ID difficult. BUT — care should be easy. Diet should be heavy on veggies (tablet form is fine) with some meat-based foods as well (shrimp pellets are great). If you don't have any driftwood in the tank, add some. Most, if not all, plecos need some wood in their diet.
