Can you ID the fish Please

Yup...also known as a Silver Tip Shark.
This fish needs to be in brackish water and eventually as it matures moved into a complete marine setup. They get at least 12 inches in size and will eat whatever fits in their mouth....anything from frozen bloodworms, brineshrimp, flakes, shrimp pellets and fish.
Despite stores selling this fish as freshwater, it's not, so I would either return it and exchange it for something more suitable or if you can convert your tank to brackish....slowly of course so as not to shock the fish....if you have other fish in the tank, then chamces are they are freshwater and will not live in a brackish setup.
Good luck and if you have any other questions, please post them! :hi:

wow I didnt know they was brackish. I had one also. Make sure your tank is covered good. They are tank jumpers. I had only a small hole in the back of mine where the filter is and it jumped out when I was in bed. What a horrible death that must of been for him.
They are a wonderful fish to have though and very active too. Mine was snacking on my neon tetras though. So as Candy said It will eat anything it can fit its choppers on.
