Can you over filter?

If i put a penguin biowheel 200b or higher into my 30 gal. tank when there ment for 50 or higher , will that have any negitive affects on my tank?

the only thing you ever need to worry about is too much flow; which isnt really a problem cause the penguins have adjustable flow on the intake pipes.
