Can you overfilter?

I have a 29 gal tank with 2 round body red cap orandas, each is about 4 inches max from "stem to stern". The filter is a Top Fin 30 with charcoal medium that cycles 150 gal/hour. All my water parms are good, except I
am still tring to get the ammonia level down to zero...usually it is about .25

I was looking at an Aqua Clear 300...is this too much?

you dont need to turn a tank over 10 times

you can get the same results with a 4 to 6 turn over rate

also save yourself some $$$ on your electric bill

I run most of my freshwater tanks filters at between 5 and 10 times an hour turnover. I think it just depends on the fish that you are keeping and what thier needs are.
