Thanks. Yes, he is a VERY reputable seller. I have known him for 4 years, and all my breeding angelfish pairs ( except for 1) were all purchased from him. He is a great seller, shipper, etc. I just wasn't to sure if these were peruvian altums, or hyrbid angels. They def. are not reg. silver angels. These fish must be mixed with something, or maybe they are peruvian angels with a different look.

I will be reserching on the internet to see if I can figure out what strain these fish are.

I hope they spawn for me, so I can pull their spawn and raise the fry up to see what the babies look like.

I asked another friend, and she said that she is 90% sure that judging by the body shape, etc, that they are peruvian scalare. I may have to put up a poll to see what people think, but first I need some better pics of them.

I know someone who has wild caught Peruvian fish and that would be my guess.

I have doubts about "hybrids" between Altum and Scalare. I don't believe they hybridize. Anyone who sells Scalare as if they are Altum just because the coloring is similar is scamming you.

None of those pics above look like true Altums.

I've noticed a trend lately to call Scalare from Peru as "Peruvian Altum" - it's a label to try to sell them for more money, IMO.
