Does anyone know of any Canadian online retailers for fish and plants? I don't want to have to leave the island (PEI) just to get a couple of ottos and an SAE. It's $45 bucks just for the bridge toll.

I swear I'm the only person in my province keeping a planted tank and I'm so frustrated with my LFS, I really doubt that I'll be going back there. And I don't have a lot of LFS's to choose from. NONE of them know anything about keeping fish let alone keeping plants in a tank. Every clerk seems to have a thriving planted tank at home with discus and and barbs and cichlid.....and oh, there just doing so well. I can't be bothered arguing with them, it's not worth it.

Okay....I'm starting to vent. I better git.

Thanks ChilDawg, but Big Als doesn't sell fish in Canada and the other place doesn't seem to exist any more.

I've been searching for some time now. :(

Try this place http://www.ottawaaquatics.com/index.htm They are in Ottawa. A real pain to get a hold of on the phone though. They sell mostly plants, you might want to give them a try. There is also a place in Montreal called Below water http://belowwater.com/index.html They specialize in wild caught and unusual fish. I have read a few good reviews about them from people on one of the fish forums I visit.

The only thing I can find is a place called Somefin's Fishy and they are in Australia.

It seems a bit outrageous that I should have to order all the way from Australia to get a couple of ottos and SAEs.

Doesn't it???

No, somefinnfishy is someone that you could pm on this board. There's gotta be somebody closer than Australia who'd send you an algae team! :)
