I think they are cool. I had three heads in May.

Is it just me or is it still too far away from christmas for candycanes? Idk, they dont look to appitizing anyway.

Sorry, I had to do that...

We have a blue-green and a green candy cane that are both multiplying at a similar rate. I need to take a few pix of them... the green one I got as a frag with 2 heads at the end of last year. Those 2 heads have turned into almost 20 since then! I don't directly feed ours anything, they're just placed high up in our 90g under PC lights (still haven't got our T5s hooked up yet :(). Please share more info, DarthFred, as I'm also curious if / what you feed yours.

Grins -- I'm guessing you're talking about the neon green candy cane like the one at Coral Dynamics? Isn't the color on that insane? It's no wonder he sells out of those frags as quickly as he can grow them.

My BC14 has the 3.24 NanoCustoms light upgrade that adds a third 24watt fixture. I feed mine sporadically with mysis and cyclopeeze. The location in the tank is the key. They are high enough to get great light and they also are located close to overflows to the filter compartment. I think this keeps a continous flow of nutrients and food from when the whole tank is fed as they always seem to be eating something or ready to eat something.

The color in the pics does not do these guys justice. They are very neon green under actinics. Maybe I need to get the bigger tank with the halides now.
