OK, I'm sure this info is here somewhere, but I can not find it. I have a 150 with overflow boxes in both corners and drilled holes in bottom. I was thinking I'm not sure I want to do a wet/dry. So, I'm wondering can I plug the holes and use the overflows to hide my intak and return of a canister filter? What are the upsides or downsides to this?

Thanks for your help!!

I have a 125 gal. that I got used that has had it's overflow box plugged and I use two 404 fluval canister filters and it works fine. I also added a short hose attach to the bottom of overflow with another plug in it when I first got it. I would recommend the additional plug, because my hose does have about a inch of water in it that must gradually leak through. I have had it this way for the last three years without any problems.
