Canister filter

Hello, how's your tank set up is it a fowlr, reef etc.? If your tank has live rock you won't need any media in your canister as a matter of fact it would be detrimental and cause you nitrate problems down the road. I wouldn't use the bio wheel either for the same reason. Keep in mind in s.w. you need at LEAST 10x per hour water turn over and more if you can get it.

asking me, i have 5 power heads, 1200, 900, 900, 400, 400. i am mainly using the carbon and i dont have to run it all the time but it will give me another 350 gallons per hour. plus it can just be run as a polisher . i need more live rock. but i got my at liveaquaria.com for 81.99.
 
good water flow! liveaquaria is a good spot. has your tank cycled all the way yet if you keep your ammonia below1ppm you can avoid nuking your critters with ammonia.
