Canister Output Options

Any suggestions for canister output besides the spray bar, bend the tubing around until you almost kink it that comes w/ the Eheim 2217??

I saw at the LFS where all they used was the output tube - no spray bar, no lilly pipe, etc. Will that hurt the "flow" in the tank??

Lilly pipes seem to be high maintenance - high maintenance is not good!

I have 2 Rena XP3 that came with both a spray bar & an adjustable jet return. I use the jet on 1 tank & spraybar on another. The jet is just an "L" with a simple valve.

im in the same boat as you, im kinda getting tired of the spray bar. Cal Aqua Labs makes input/output tube kits but are like in the 150's for the 2217 filter. What kinda flow are u looking for? Concentrated or more dispersed?

/\ /\ Wouldn't more dispersed be better as far as tank circulation, etc. I was just getting ready to put up a 50 gallon (the 45 sprung a leak and will soon be going away). I kinda' wanted a different output configuration. It's hard to find info / options on it.
