Canister question

I'm sorry but I don't think you can have a canister for a 10 gallon tank. I might be wrong but that's just what i'm thinking

Canisters work for any volume, would be amazing filtration for a 10gal. But you can always go cheaper with a HOB power filter.

It depends on what you are wanting to keep. For fancy goldfish and such, no. If you are wanting to do a river biotope with fish from fast moving water it would work. In either case it would be overkill. If you go with a canister I would reccomend a Marineland Magnum, I've always had great luck with them. Get it with the double valves and you can tone it down some. If you do this though only turn down the valve on the return side, not the intake.

I like fluval canister filters, you can disconnect the hoses without draining any water and they all come with valve control. Look up a fluval 105, they sell on ebay also. Again like with the above might be over kill.

Rapids Mini Canister Filter from drsfostersmith.com

does 80gph and will work great for a ten gallon.

a fluval 105 is also a good choice, but IMO 125 gph is alot for a ten gallon. an Eheim Classic 2213 is another good alternative and puts out about 116 gph i believe.
