The glass needs to be cut down to fit. what are the dimensions of the glass and how thick is it?
1. You could buy a new top that fits.
2. You could take the top to a glass shop and have it cut.
3. You could buy a glass cutter and cut it yourself.
Choices 2 or 3 could lead to doing #1.

Yup! Totally agree. Cutting glass is pretty easy if you've done it and know what you're doing but if it's your first time, give it a shot, but plan on #1. Most glass shops I've been in are staffed with great guys and may not even charge you for 1 or 2 cuts. Just make sure you oooh and aaaaaah when they go "zip", press, break, flawlessly in 2 seconds!!!!
