I got a great deal yesterday on a 47gal TruVu with the dark wood cabinet and hood for $85 bucks, A co-worker who had to get rid of it!!! I was soooo excited it is perfect for my Bolivian Rams and a few Clown loaches.
I was also excited about the fact that the H.O.T. Magnum with a bio wheel that sits in the closet was finally going to get working. NOT!!! It does not fit!!! the opening in the back of the tank is to small (almost 15" long and about 1.5" wide). What can I use to filter this tank??? All my tanks are planted tanks and this one will be the same. So UGF is out??? I have never used canister filters before??? all my other tanks are eclipse hoods or emporor pwr filters??? I half thought about getting my Dremel tool and making the hole bigger?? would this ruin the tank????
