Just in the process of a fishless cycle in my 20g Rekord tank. Two weeks into cycle it just ocurred to me that maybe I should have removed the carbon sponge from the built in filter during the cycle (Although the nitrite level is rising and everything seems to be ok so far). Any opinions/advice? Thanks.
