Cardnial Tetras

That is a dilemma. . .
One the one hand, schooling fish like to be in larger groups, and you would probably be ok right now with 3 more of them.
But, your pleco will grow to be too big (7 inches) for a 10 gallon tank even if he was all by himself. . .
So, if you have plans for a larger tank in the near future, then I'd say go ahead and get some more Cardinals.
I know basically nothing of Bettas, so if there is a Betta-related reason why you should not have Cardinals then someone else will have to bring that up.

It depends on the actual species of pleco.
There is the "Rubbernose" pleco that gets to about 5 inches
and there is also the "Rubber" pleco that gets larger (up to 11 inches).

If you are putting small tetras like Cardinals in a 55, I would suggest getting a LARGE school of them. I have 15 right now in my 37 gallon that the schooling behavior is very interesting and fun to watch.
My dream community tank is to convert my 75 gallon cichlid tank into one with several schools of 30+ tetras and Hatchetfish.

Been working on plants in the corners for a while. Not doing as well as I wish.
I was afraid the Pleco was too small yet for the 55.
Thought I would let him grow a bit.
He is hiding in a plant (plastic) now in the Betta tank.
The Betta swam up too him, looked very close and has since left him be.
Maybe he would be alright in the 55 now, but I don't think it wise to move him again.

Yes, don't move him now, let him just settle into the 10 gallon for now and move him with he gets a little bigger.

They are beautiful, but not nice. They don't even like each other.
I have tried different rock formations, moveing things around in the tank.
Nothing works, one keeps his fins clamped and has seemed to stop growing.
The other one lets him eat, for a short while.
I don't know what to do with them. :huh:
