Here is my situation, I currently have a 155 gallon bowfront that I'm trying to get some good carpet (and moss) action in.
However my efforts have so far only led to failure.
The tank has a 4x96 watt fixture, with 2 10000k bulbs, and 2 10000k/6700k 50/50s on it, running a 9 hour photoperiod. I dose with the liquid carbon product and liquid ferts lightly.
I can not get anything going carpet wise. I've tried Dwarf hairgrass and microsword, the dwarf hairgrass is largely inert. Neither dying nor growing.
The Microsword unbundled, bursting out of the root cotton and spreading out, but has not actually exhibited any growth.
Can you think of any other plants that might work in my situation for carpeting?
And I'd also like to know about moss, is there any moss that grows on wood but does not require constant trimming? Are thier any plants that grow on wood similar to moss and require little trimming?
