I was doing some research on plants that have a carpet-like effect.. All that i have found do best in high light. I assume this is because they are so far from the surface. My tank is a 20g high with about 2.4 wpg. I really like the look of glosso too. Any plant i guess would do. Can anyone help me with this??

I have been wanting the same thing, but haven't been able to find anything yet. I have a 55 with 2.9 wpg, but those stupid tanks are so narrow and tall. I have E. tenellus and it grows taller in my tank reaching for light than any pictures I have ever seen, so I am sure the light levels are just at the limit for it. I would love Glosso, but I just don't think it would do well.

you can grow glosso, it would just grow up opposed to staying on the grounds. i think the grasses may be your best bet.

dwarf sagittaria would be a good one

another good forground that is less demandiong about light is cryptocene pygmea (i think i spelled that right it's the pygmy crypt if that helps)

i looked into it more... i really like the hemianthus callitrichoides "cuba".. but it seems difficult to find, even online (for sale)

that can be the hardest part about plants- some are really hard to find

look into your local aquarium society/clubs/etc. there are lots of auctions that are great places to find rare plants as well as really good deals- after the first one you might even be able to find a local plant trading group.

good luck!- Kyle
