Catching a naughty blenny and dottyback

Ok I need ideas and advice please!

We've had a neon dottyback for almost a year now in our 29gal reef tank. He's been amusing and well behaved(as well as a dottyback can behave)...BUT! When we got a lawnmower blenny a few months ago he's been an absolute terror...the both of them have. The lawnmower blenny will not eat any hair algae so I've given up on that idea. We're now battling it with a refugium and lots of macro algae to go along with the regular water changes.

Now...ever since the lawnmower blenny was introduced, those two gang up on hermits, snails, other fish. The dottyback will tear the huge snails off the rocks and pick at them until I chase him away....or if I'm not around he'll kill them and the blenny helps. I rearranged the tank to get rid of his current territory and he slowed down a bit, however the both of them still gang up.

So any ideas on how to catch these two? Totally tearing down the tank isn't really an option, as I have a lot of corals and no where to put them. And pulling out my hair doesn't seem to work too well. :help:

You can try baiting a jar--put a net in the tank so they get used to it and won't hide with in in there. Put in a clear jar with some food added to decoy them in, and then use the net to trap them there for removal. Takes patience, and with sly fish, you might get just one chance.

Other option, invest in a large rubber tub that can be used to hold all the rock and coral. Sometimes, that's the only option that works.
