Catfish ID?

Damn, that’s a lot you have going. I’m not that handy, I can do small things. I forgot to mention she wants the door painted red lol I think it will look horrible but I’ll do it. My wife decorated most of the house but I still have my western stuff so that’s cool. I can do whatever I want in the garage but it’s hard to enjoy year round cuz of the heat. I might try a portable AC, but I’m skeptical it will work with our extreme heat. Haha, I remember D&D, I didn’t know that was still around. The only time I played , if it counts, was the D&D RPG on the sega genesis

I like to keep busy. I didn't build anything last summer because the lumber yards were mostly closed the beginning of the summer, so I'm getting antsy.

My wife painted our front door red. I told her I didn't think it would look good when she asked. She said she was painting it red anyways. I said okay and went with it . It's painted red and actually looks pretty good. She's never asked and I haven't volunteered that it looks pretty good, though, so in her mind I made a sacrifice, lol. A small bit of credit, lol! Seriously, it will probably look better than you think it will. Ours did.

I don't want anyone to get me wrong. My marriage isn't a back and forth about who does the most so they can get their way. My previous post was really about ways to make you're spouse appreciate you a little more so that when you say I'm getting this he or she isn't thinking, well, I didn't get to do this because he didn't like it and now he's doing what he wants. It's really about the compromising and give/take parts of marriage.

Haha, hopefully red looks good on our house then. The house gray, so we’ll see
No worries man, I know exactly what you mean about the give and take. It’s all in a good way. My wife limits the number of tanks in the house but I can put as many as I want in the garage, I just like to have them inside, she’s pretty patient about the amount of money and time in spend on them so that’s cool. We normally split the housework 50/50 but since I stopped working over Covid concerns, I do about 95% , but it’s never been discussed, just kind of the natural evolution since she works 10-12 hrs a day and I have nothing to do if i don’t .

The replacement pims I’m getting are fairly big, 5-6” so I’m thinking about putting those two in with the bichirs in the 4ft 120. Think that’ll work ok? The two barracuda are in there as well- about 6 and 7” and the 4 bichirs range from 6-12”

You are a busy guy, WYite! Since our "retirement" nobody does much at all here. We weren't sure if we'd need to move & worked a little bit on downsizing but that got old fast, lol. & there was a little "selling the house" vs "if we stay" going on...so far we're staying...

We still have the $100 rule, if something either wants or needs costs more than that we at least let the other know before. I remember his bandmates telling me he should be "allowed" to have another guitar. I said if he really wanted it he'd already have it. He did get 1, but not for a couple years...they usually made him play bass anyway...I hate it when other people decide what we should do.

The only time I had to play the "credit thing" was after his last new car many years ago. I was tired of his cast off old commuter cars & said I'm choosing my new car next. It helps neither of us likes to shop. We both hate our 90s couch, it looks ok but isn't comfy anymore...maybe in another few years we might get 1. Covid just reinforces our indifference to...well, many things...

FA, I have no opinion on your fish but I hope we'll see pics soon. Well, I bet they're more fun in a group...

We have a $50.00 rule, technically. It has pretty much become a $100.00 rule. $50.00 doesn't buy as much as it did when we were married 24 years ago. Back then I could buy a couple mid-sized filters and still have change. Today that'll get you one miid-sized filter and maybe a couple flats of frozen food.

I became a lot busier after I retired, but I still have plenty of time to spare. I don't have to rush to get things done in a few weekends. I can work straight through in a few days and it's better quality because I don't have to try to re--build enthusiasm and motivation for the project. It usually takes less time as well. Four or five days straight through is actually a lot more enjoyable than trying to complete something in two or three weekends. Doing it during the weekends makes the project seem like it's dragging on and you just want to get it done. It's amazing how much time a job really takes up.

If you lived on the east coast or maybe in Oregon or Washington, she might consider it, but she hates California. I've never been there myself, but I wouldn't be able to drag her down there. I'm very sorry I couldn't be of assistance. :)

My wife says I don't play well with others, anyways.
