Hey,
I bought a catfish at a petstore. They weren't sure what it was called but it was labelled "skunk catfish". I know, stupid idea to buy a fish without knowing what exactly it is. It has the same markings as a skunk catfish but is a little thinner and his eyes are smaller. He looks like a sands corydora but i'm having trouble finding a lot of information on this breed. Can anyone help me out with this?

Is it a cory? There are a couple different cory species with the common name of skunk cory-- C. narcissus is pretty commonly seen around here.

The thinner body line makes me think you might want to check out skunk loaches just to be sure he really is a cory. Skunk loaches have smaller eyes than cories, and have obviously skinnier bodies. They are also generally quite aggressive for their size.

As for skunk cories I've seen that name attributed to Corydoras arcuatus, metae, and melini.
